Definition of a Volunteer
A volunteer is:
A person who does not look for nor expects any kind of remuneration directly or indirectly for their efforts
A person who gives of his / her time and services to better the community in which they live in
A person who is concerned with changing negative situations
A person who is concerned with what is going on in the world around them
A person who performs or gives services of his / her own accord
A person who seeks enjoyment in the results of his/her actions
Who Can Volunteer
Anyone can volunteer! Prospective volunteers can expect the same hiring procedures and standards as apply to employees; including interviews, reference and record checks, and acceptance on a non-discriminatory basis. There are many volunteer opportunities available for people of all ages and interests with the Town of Prescott Valley’s Parks and Recreation department. With so many projects and programs to choose from, there’s bound to be something of interest to you or your group.
