    This course covers the basics of setting up Windows 10 securely and getting the most out of the most common features. This Windows 10 class assumes the student has some experience of a previous version of Windows. This course will also cover Windows Performance and Maintenance.

  2. Drop-In Tech Help

    Drop-In Tech Help Need help with your computer, tablet, phone or other technology? Prescott Valley Public Library can assist you! PVPL provides Windows 10 laptops, but please bring any device that you need assistance with —tablet, e-reader, laptop, phone, etc.—and our experienced staff will do their best to answer your questions. Please bring USB and/or power cables for your device. Apple device users may need their Apple account credentials. Kindle device users may need their Amazon account credentials. Help with e-books requires a valid library card. People will be helped on a first come, first served basis. Drop-In Tech Help is intended to help with learning new skills, not repairing equipment. Drop-In Tech Help sessions are held each Tuesday afternoon, from 3-5pm and Friday morning, from 10am-12pm in the 2nd Floor PC Lab. For more information call 928.759.3040.

  4. VA Workshops - Women Veterans

    VA Workshop Series – Women Veterans Prescott Valley Public Library (7401 East Skoog Blvd.) will be hosting the next workshop in the VA Workshop Series. The topic is ‘Women Veterans’, will be held Tues., March 12 @ 5:00 – 6:30 pm in the Glassford Hill Room. There will be an additional ½ hour for questions about services available at the VA. Did you know women have always served in military conflicts beginning with the American Revolution? If you ever served in the Military, you are a Veteran! Today, women now make up 15% of the military population, 18% of the National Guard and Reserves service members, and 20% of new recruits. The VA will be presenting a brief history of how women have served, and then you will learn how Northern AZ VA Health Care System cares for women Veterans and how you can get enrolled.   5. Citizenship Classes

    Beginning in January, the Prescott Valley Public Library (7401 E. Skoog Blvd.) will host free civics classes for those applying for U.S. citizenship. Starting on January 22nd the class will meet every Tuesday from 5:30-7:00 PM in the library’s 2nd floor PC Lab. Classes will end in 10 weeks on March 26th. Registration is required.   6. ESL - English as a Second Language
