The Complete Job Search
Successful job searching requires preparation. Prescott Valley Public Library (7401 E. Civic Circle) is offering a 3 week course, “The Complete Job Search”, on Thursdays in January 2019. The class will meet January 10th, 17th, & 24th from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. This course will guide you through an assessment of your personal strengths, and teach you how to complete effective applications, resumes, and cover letters. You will learn to use the Internet to search for jobs and learn effective skills for interviewing and follow-up. Prior to taking this course, you should already have basic Windows, Word, Internet and Email skills.

“Coloring Class for Adults” Ongoing PVPL Program: Come and enjoy a relaxing time coloring with other adults. No rules, just fun! You can bring in your favorite coloring book and materials or choose from a variety of coloring pages and materials that we have to explore the simple pleasures of coloring. Some basic instruction for ideas and techniques to spice up your coloring are available. Remember there is no right or wrong way to color, just have fun!

Starting Sunday November 18th, 2018 the Prescott Valley Public Library will begin a pilot project of opening on Sundays from 1-5pm. The pilot will run until the end of April 2019. The library will collect data and input from the community to see if opening on Sundays is beneficial to the community. In order to adjust for opening on Sundays, the library will close an hour earlier Monday through Thursday at 7 p.m.

Starting on January 22nd the class will meet every Tuesday from 5:30-7:00 PM in the library’s 2nd floor PC Lab. Classes will end in 10 weeks on March 26th. Registration is required. “Crochet One, Knit Too!” PVPL Ongoing Program: Prescott Valley Public Library’s informal group of folks who enjoy the art of crochet, knitting, and any other portable needle craft. If someone needs help reading a pattern or figuring out a new stitch, there is always someone who can lend a hand. Besides sharing knowledge and expertise, this group shares patterns as well.
