  2. ESL - English as a Second Language

    Classes will be conducted every Tuesday, from 6-7:30 pm in the Children's Program Room and all who need language practice in an informal setting are encouraged to participate. You will have plenty of opportunities to learn new vocabulary, practice conversational skills, and build confidence in language usage through fun and interactive activities.     In May the PVPL Afterthoughts Book Club will be reading and discussing Vanessa Diffenbaugh’s novel, The Language of Flowers. A mesmerizing, moving, and elegantly written debut novel, The Language of Flowers beautifully weaves past and present, creating a vivid portrait of an unforgettable woman whose gift for flowers helps her change the lives of others even as she struggles to overcome her own troubled past.   8. Chair Yoga at Prescott Valley Public Library

    In April Prescott Valley Public Library will start offering Chair Yoga on the fourth Friday of the month. Lori Wallach has been teaching yoga for over 14 years. Her love of helping individuals ease into aging is the driving force behind her yoga. She received her 200 teacher training in 2004 and her 300 training finished in 2016. Throughout her career she has taught all kinds of yoga, from power yoga to meditation. Now, she has settled into teaching modified yoga that meets the needs of the individual and chair yoga. Chair yoga allows you to keep doing yoga regardless of your ability. The chair can also be used as a prop to help getting into the poses a little easier. Not to mention there is no getting up and down from the floor worry. Yoga will help you keep and build your strength, flexibility and balance. 4th Fridays 11am-12pm Crystal Room No signed up required
