    Girls Who Code is an international organization dedicated to teaching computer programming skills to girls, in an effort to close the gender gap in the Computer Science Industry. Prescott Valley Public Library will now host an official Girls Who Code group for students in grades 3-5. No prior skills or knowledge necessary. Just show up to our first meeting, September 16, with a working email. Children under 10 must have an adult accompany them in the Library.

  9. Prescott Valley Art Guild

    The Prescott Valley Art Guild is a non-profit organization established in 1987 to further the education, awareness and understanding of the creative arts and to promote and encourage the artistic welfare of the community. The organization holds a monthly meeting on the third Wednesday of each month except in June and December. During the meeting information is provided on upcoming art shows and other related items, members bring in art work which is judged be members, refreshments are available, a raffle of art books is held and a presentation or demonstration is provided by a local artist. The Art Guild sponsors art shows in the community periodically and displays art of members in local businesses as part of our Art Around Town project. All members are encouraged to participate in the activities of the Art Guild. Members pay a $35.00 annual membership fee.

PUG is a group of people that like to get together, play ukuleles and have fun. PUG will feature songs that you know and a couple you don’t (but are bound to enjoy).     Prescott Valley Public Library will offer Chair Yoga on the fourth Friday of each month. Lori Wallach has been teaching yoga for over 14 years. Her love of helping individuals ease into aging is the driving force behind her yoga. She received her 200 teacher training in 2004 and her 300 training finished in 2016. Throughout her career she has taught all kinds of yoga, from power yoga to meditation. Now, she has settled into teaching modified yoga that meets the needs of the individual and chair yoga. Chair yoga allows you to keep doing yoga regardless of your ability. The chair can also be used as a prop to help getting into the poses a little easier. Not to mention there is no getting up and down from the floor worry. Yoga will help you keep and build your strength, flexibility and balance. No signed up required
