  1. Winter Reads @ Your Library 2018

    January 16, 2018, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM @ Prescott Valley Public Library

    Need a good reason to take a break after the busy holiday schedule and get some reading done? Your library has just the thing! Chill out with a good book during our Winter Reads Adult Program (WRAP), January 1-31, 2018. Adults can read, attend a library program, or complete other literary related activities to be entered into a prize drawing. Stop by the library’s Help Desk to pick up your BINGO Game Board or print one from the library website. (One BINGO Board Game per person). Make sure to return your completed BINGO Game Board to the library by January 31st; then "WRAP"- up the month by attending the Winter Tea Party on Feb 2nd from 3-5pm in the PVPL Crystal Room. The prize drawing will be held at the Winter Tea Party. Let’s welcome winter with enthusiasm! The program is open to all patrons age 18 and older. For more information call 928-759-3040.

    Are you interested in learning Excel? Prescott Valley Public Library is offering a 3-week class, Introduction to Excel on Tuesdays (1/16, 1/23, 1/30) from 3-5:30pm. Classes will cover the basics of creating and using Excel spreadsheets. Excel can be used to budget your personal finances and keep track of your investments. You can also use Excel to follow loan repayments, compare different mortgages, create invoices and more. Space is limited and registration is required.   13. Federal Employment Workshop

    The Prescott Valley Public Library will be partnering with the Northern Arizona VA Healthcare System to host a “Federal Employment Workshop”. This workshop is designed to help veterans navigate USAJOBS and “How to apply for Federal Employment”. This is a two part program, with the first part covering “translating military service to civilian employment”. Forms will be provided along with instructions and what documentation is needed for federal employment. The second part of the federal employment workshop will provide one on one assistance. There will be two Vocational Rehabilitation Specialists to assist veterans. This two part program will take place in the Glassford Hill room on Thursday, January 18th from 5-7 PM and Thursday, January 25th from 5-7 PM. Space is limited and registration is required.
