2009 Holiday Tree Display at the Prescott Valley Civic Center
Posted Date: 10/30/2009

The Prescott Valley Arts and Culture Commission announces the Eighth Annual “Create-A-Tree” winter holiday tree display at the Prescott Valley Civic Center scheduled for Friday, December 4th. This is a showcase of community artistic talent featuring holiday trees made out of non-denominational, non-traditional, and non-flammable materials provided by local schools, community groups or individuals. The idea is to decorate the Prescott Valley Civic Center and promote civic participation! Previous trees have been made out of buckets, shoes, door frames, metal, non-flammable fabric and themed pine trees. It’s a test of one’s creativity to come up with a new and clever design!

Trees will be installed Thursday and Friday, December 3rd and 4th to coincide with the Festival of Lights Parade and the annual Civic Center Lighting on Dec 4th. When Santa finishes with the parade he will come in to take pictures and listen to all your Christmas wishes. You can also come inside and cast your vote for the Holiday Tree Display’s best of show as the “People’s Choice Award”.

For more information on the program please call the Prescott Valley Parks & Recreation Department at 759-3090 or download your application via the Town’s website at http://www.pvaz.net/Index.aspx?page=430.
