White House Christmas Tree Visits Prescott Valley
Event to be held on Nov 11 at 2:30.
Posted Date: 10/30/2009

For the first time in history, Arizona has been given the honor of providing the United States Congress with the Capital Christmas Tree which will grace the West Lawn of our nation’s capital. Our tree comes from the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest found in the Arizona White Mountains. Before it begins its trip east, the Prescott Valley Arts and Culture Commission cordially welcomes you and your family to join with the Town as we receive the “People’s Tree” to our community and recognize our veterans.

This community celebration will take place on Wednesday, November 11th from 2:30 until 4:00 pm at the intersection of Main Street and the Entertainment District’s circle fountain adjacent to the new Fuddruckers restaurant and Freedom Station Family Fun Center. Come see the 75 foot tall tree, place your signature on the celebration banner, and join with Mayor Skoog and the American Legion Color Guard in a welcoming address. The Bradshaw Mountain High School Choir will also be present to perform some musical numbers. Seasonal beverages and treats will be available.

For more information on this special historical event please call the Prescott Valley Parks & Recreation Department at 759-3090.
