Prescott Valley Chief of Police Bryan Jarrell encourages his officers to make special efforts in touching citizens in a positive meaningful way. On Thursday, May 17, 2018, such a contact was made when Officer Robert Hernandez was sent to the 3100 block of North Navajo Drive on a report of a person have an anxiety attack.

Upon arrival at the location, Officer Hernandez learned that the resident had not had enough food to eat. With permission, Officer Hernandez checked the resident’s kitchen and discovered a limited amount of groceries. Terros Health personnel were called to the residence and evaluated the resident who was then transported from the residence. Officer Hernandez then went to a grocery store and purchased two bags of groceries and delivered them to the residence.

This action illustrates the spirit which Chief Jarrell likes to see in his officers whenever possible. #meaningfulcontactpv
