False Alarm Reduction Program

The False Alarm Reduction Program was initiated to substantially reduce the number of false alarms that the Prescott Valley Police Department responds to, thereby freeing up police resources to respond to emergencies.

Partners
The Prescott Valley Police Department has partnered with CryWolf (a false alarm management company) to manage alarm registration and false alarms.

Registration
The Prescott Valley Alarm Ordinance requires that only alarm locations that have false alarms be registered on CryWolf's website. Please visit the Prescott Valley False Alarm Reduction Program secure website to complete the online registration process.

False Alarms
False alarms will be tracked and the 2nd false alarm (and any subsequent false alarm) within a 365 day period will result in an assessment. There is an online class you can take to receive a waiver for the assessment, for the 2nd false alarm in a 365 day period. Review our frequently asked questions (PDF) for more information.
